Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure through the configuration, management, and maintenance of FortiGate firewalls and associated security solutions.

This role involves implementing and optimizing security policies, conducting regular audits and assessments, and responding to security incidents in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Firewall Configuration: Configure FortiGate firewalls to enforce security policies, control network traffic, and protect against various threats such as malware, intrusions, and unauthorized access.
• VPN Configuration: Set up virtual private networks (VPNs) using FortiGate appliances to securely connect remote offices, remote workers, or partners to the corporate network.
• Intrusion Prevention System (IPS): Configure and fine-tune IPS policies to detect and prevent network-based attacks such as exploits, buffer overflows, and denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
• Web Filtering: Implement web filtering policies to control access to inappropriate or malicious websites, enhancing productivity and security.
• Antivirus and Antispyware: Configure antivirus and antispyware features to scan network traffic for known malware and prevent its spread within the network.
• Security Auditing and Compliance: Conduct security audits, compliance checks, and vulnerability assessments to ensure the network meets regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to network security, including firewall misconfigurations, connectivity problems, and security breaches.
• Security Policy Management: Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to govern the use of FortiGate devices and ensure consistent security practices across the organization.
• Security Incident Response: Respond to security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and implement corrective measures to mitigate future risks.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and Fortinet technologies through training, certifications, and industry publications.

Requirements:

• Strong technical skills in network protocols, firewall administration, VPN technologies, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), web filtering, and security policy management.
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting and familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, etc.).
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Program certifications (NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 6, NSE 7) are highly desirable.
